Blues likely keeping Pietrangelo in NHL
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that the Blues will keep defenseman Alex Pietrangelo on the NHL roster for the rest of the season. Pietrangelo played his ninth game of the season on Thursday, and it will count as a full year of service if he plays in the tenth game.
Our View: The Blues have gone back and forth on this in the last few weeks, but it looks like he will remain with the team, at least for now. They could still send him back to juniors, but this season counts on his service time if he plays again. Look for the youngster to see more time in the lineup if he does stay, as the team will want to get his offense on the ice.
