The Jaguars have placed defensive end Reggie Hayward on injured reserve and elevated cornerback Kennard Cox from the practice squad.
Impacts: Hayward, a team captain who restructured his contract in the offseason to take a paycut, broke his fibula on a fourth-down play Sunday at Indianapolis. It's a huge loss for the Jaguars, who already are without defensive lineman Rob Meier (shoulder) for the season. Quentin Groves, James Wyche or rookie Julius Williams could step into the starting role. Jacksonville also might sign a free agent or use more 3-4 schemes.
