Garcia believes he should be starter
According to the Chicago Tribune, new Raiders' quarterback Jeff Garcia believes he should be the starter in Oakland this season even though he is second on the depth chart to JaMarcus Russell. Garcia was quoted as saying 'Not knocking JaMarcus or anybody else on the team, but I have a belief in my own abilities that has me feeling I am the best quarterback on the team. That's just how I approach the game.'
Our View: Garcia has made no bones about the fact that he wants to start this season, and now he is pleading his case. The Raiders almost have to start Russell after drafting him first overall a few years ago, but if he struggles early don't be shocked to see Garcia.
