Whether retired or not (or waffling between the two), no NFL offseason can be complete without hearing a story about Brett Favre. However, this one isn’t about Favre unretiring, but rather when No. 4 will be retired.
Since Favre made his first retirement as a member of the Green Bay Packers following the 2007 season, many have wondered when the team planned on retiring the jersey number of the quarterback who played 16 seasons for the team, earning three NFL MVPs and a Super Bowl ring along the way.
Well, according to Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy via Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, that day could come “in a year or two.â€
