Al Afalava (shoulder) is questionable for Thursday night against the 49ers, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times.
Our View: Fellow safety Kevin Payne has already been ruled out, so it could be a big night for resurgent Niners quarterback Alex Smith if Afalava is unable to go as well.
