James not likely to sign extension before offseason
The Minneapolis Star-Tribune is reporting that LeBron James is not likely to sign a contract extension before the end of next season. 'I signed a contract in 2006 with an option,' he said. 'It would make no sense for me to sign that contract if I didn't keep my options open. I'll let you fill in the blanks.'
Our View: The Cavs were really hoping they would be able to get LeBron locked up before he hit free agency, but it doesn't look like that will be the case. This maybe opens the door to LBJ testing the market, but it still looks like he will eventually end up in Cleveland.
