The New York Post reports that Nets guard Jordan Farmar is expected to pick up his $4 million player option for next season. Farmar missed the final month of the season with a groin injury, but still posted career highs of 10.4 points per game and 46.7 percent from the field.
Analysis: Farmar's Fantasy value for next season is going to be directly tied to what happens with Deron Williams, who is expected to test free agency this summer. Farmar has averaged right around 10 points in each of his seasons in New Jersey, despite playing less than 25 minutes per game, so he could be a solid Fantasy option if Williams leaves. It will all depend on what Williams decides to do, however Farmer will likely be a late-round selection on Draft Day.
