Kidd meeting with Knicks, Cuban
Jason Kidd is expected to be in New York on Wednesday to meet with the Knicks about potentially signing with them as a free agent this summer, but Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has also flown there to convince the veteran point guard to stay with the team, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Our View: Kidd is obviously past his prime, but was effective in Dallas last season, averaging nine points and nearly nine assists per game to go along with 6.2 rebounds. He also shot above 40 percent from the three point line for only the second time in his career. He would probably be a good fit for Mike D'Antoni's uptempo system, but the Mavericks should be considered the favorite to keep him at this point.
