The Rockies have placed Willy Taveras on waivers, according to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal. The Rockies will have 48 hours to work out a trade with the claiming team or teams.Taveras is hitting the ball much better of late and leads the majors in steals by 20. He had been likely to be dealt in the offseason, but perhaps the Rox will be able to move him to a contender now.
