Padilla shoots himself in the leg
According to the LA Times, Dodgers starter Vicente Padilla was treated for a minor gunshot wound in a Nicaragua hospital on Tuesday.
Our View: The wound was apparently self-inflicted and Padilla's agent is calling it a 'hunting accident'. The pitcher was treated for 30-40 minutes after being rushed to the hospital and it appears the bullet just grazed his leg. Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be another 'Plaxico situation' as the Dodgers were looking into resigning the revamped veteran next season.
