News: Cardinals SP Todd Wellemeyer did not pitch well on Sunday in a loss to the Phillies. Wellemeyer was smacked around pretty good by the defending world champs as he gave up 11 base hits and three home runs in 5 2/3 innings. Seven runs crossed the plate and five of them were earned as Wellemeyer took the loss to fall to 7-9 on the season. He gave up one walk and struck out three. His ERA is now at 5.79. [...]
