Tracy Ringolsby, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports Colorado Rockies 1B Todd Helton (back) underwent arthroscopic surgery Tuesday, Sept. 30, to remove the pressure a bulging disc in his lower back has put on a nerve, creating pain and numbness in his left leg. The surgery was considered a success and Helton has been told to limit his activities for two weeks. Helton will continue a rehab process and should be ready for Spring Training without any problems.
