Sox retain Wakefield
The Boston Red Sox and knuckleballer Tim Wakefield have agreed to a new two-year contract, according to WEEI.
Our View: The deal is worth $3.5 million up-front in 2010, and $1.5 million in 2011. If he reaches a list of incentives, it could end up being worth $10 million. Wakefield will be 43 on opening day next season.
