Hudson passes physical, gets his extension
According to the MLBlogs.com, Tim Hudson has passed his physical and essentially ensured that his three-year extension is now a done deal. The team will likely make an official announcement after the World Series.
Our View: The deal was hinged on the two parties finding a doctor that would clear Hudson and be approved by the insurance companies. Looks like they hit pay-dirt, especially in Hudson's case as he stands to make around $9 million a year for the next three years. The Braves seem confident that he has fully recovered from Tommy John, so he could be a nice sleeper pick next season.
