Sean Burnett, a former top starting pitching prospect for Pittsburgh, is Triple-A Indianapolis' closer and now has three saves after pitching a scoreless inning Monday night.The left-handed groundball pitcher hardly profiles as a closer, but he has shown the control to be a serviceable major league pitcher in the past. Don't be surprised if the Pirates bring him up for relief innings after eight scoreless innings at Indy, but he seems unlikely to help fantasy owners anytime soon, if ever.
