Error dooms Franklin in ninth
News: Cardinals closer Ryan Franklin ended up with the loss in Game 2 of the NLDS on Thursday thanks in large part to a Matt Holliday error with two outs in the ninth inning. Franklin came on with one out in the ninth inning and a one-run lead. He ended up allowing two unearned runs after Holliday dropped a line drive hit at him that ended up turning into a two-out rally. Mark Loretta and Ronnie Belliard each hit RBI singles off Franklin after the error with Franklin taking the 3-2 loss. [...]
