Harden was relatively durable for the second straight season
Harden was relatively durable for the second straight season -- he’s started a combined 51 games over the last two years -- but he also got a knocked around on occasion. His ERA, WHIP (1.34) and batting average against (.234) were all his poorest marks since his rookie season, though his stuff remained top-notch, as evidenced by a nasty 10.91 K/9 ratio. His situation will be something to monitor throughout the offseason, as he is a free agent and the Cubs haven’t shown a lot of interest in retaining him. If he does leave Chicago, where he ends up will help determine what kind of value he has going forward.
