Ibanez having hernia surgery Monday
Phillies' beat writer Todd Zolecki is reporting on Twitter that outfielder Raul Ibanez will have his sports hernia repaired on Monday. Ibanez was dealing with pain in his abdomen for just over four months.
Our View: Ibanez was a warrior for the Phils this season, as he played through pain for a vast majority of the second half. He should be fine for spring training, so fantasy players should expect another big season out of Ibanez in 2010.
