David O'Brien, of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Braves RP Rafael Soriano (side) told team trainers he strained a side muscle while pitching in the Tuesday, March 24, game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. General manager Frank Wren said the severity of the strain wasnÂ’t known, so it was too early to determine whether Soriano would be ready when the regular season begins April 5 at the Philadelphia Phillies.
