After a rough outing to conclude August, Maholm has returned to top form in his last two starts, surrendering three combined earned runs while fanning eight over 14 frames in that stretch. The resilient southpaw reduced his ERA to 3.68 with Tuesday's gem, making him a very viable option when he next toes the rubber on Sept. 17 at home against the Dodgers.
