Unfortunately, opposing starter Jamie Moyer was able to keep pace with Perez. Regardless, Thursday's performance was one of Perez's finest all season. He scattered six hits and one walk to go with 12 strikeouts. It also marked his fifth straight quality start, during which time he's notched an impressive 1.90 ERA. Run him back out there on July 29, when he'll take his 4.15 ERA and 107 strikeouts to Florida to face the Marlins.
