Jessica Isner, of NESN.com, reports the Philadelphia Phillies are in the running to trade for Boston Red Sox 3B Mike Lowell. Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. had a 'brief talk' with the Red Sox about the possibility, according to SI.com's Jon Heyman. However, the chances of Lowell being traded to the Phillies are low. Lowell was apparently very close to signing with the Phillies in 2007.
