Third baseman Mat Gamel was named the Milwaukee Brewers Minor League Organizational Player of the Year, according to MLB.com. Gamel hit .329-19-96 with a .395 OBP on the year.Gamel and Matt LaPorta are the two minor league bats that the Brewers are really excited about. With Ryan Braun now in the outfield, Gamel would appear to be set up with a shot to be the Brewers opening day starter at third base next season.
