According to The New York Post's Joel Sherman, the New York Yankees are telling agents they only have $2 million to spend on a left fielder for the 2010 season. The five candidates mentioned by Sherman as possible targets in left include free-agent OF's Xavier Nady (Yankees), Reed Johnson (Cubs), Rocco Baldelli (Red Sox), Jerry Hairston Jr. (Yankees) and Marcus Thames (Tigers).
