Griffey has minor surgery
USA Today is reporting that Mariners' outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to remove a bone spur on Monday. The expected recovery time for the injury is four-to-six weeks.
Our View: Griffey hasn't announced what his plans are for next season, but this surgery is minor and shouldn't affect his decision much either way. He hit 19 homers this season, and would likely be welcomed back in Seattle if he decides to play.
