Rafael Furcal is getting Wednesday off for the Dodgers. He will be replaced by Juan Castro at shortstop for the Dodgers' game against the Pirates.

Our View: Furcal isn't having the kind of season many thought he would, and his lack of speed has been the biggest disappointment. He has only seven stolen bases this season, and his .255 average is far too low for a lead-off hitter.
