Coming off a comeback campaign with Florida, Cantu is in line for a hefty pay raise after earning about a half-million in 2008. If Cantu is traded, it would open the door for Dallas McPherson, Gaby Sanchez and Emilio Bonifacio to win regular playing time at the corners. The Giants are short on productive corner infielders.
