Royals | Soria injured, stays in game
The Kansas City Star's Bob Dutton reports Kansas City Royals CL Joakim Soria (ankle) slipped badly in delivering his second pitch in the ninth inning Tuesday, Aug. 18, against the Chicago White Sox. He then tested his left ankle with two throws, with the crowd booing, before the game resumed. āI twisted my ankle on a hole left by another pitcher,ā he said. āIām fine. For a moment, it felt bad, but then I walked it off, and it felt fine.ā
