Rollins leads Team USA to victory
Jimmy Rollins was 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored as Team USA defeated the Netherlands 9-3 on Sunday. He played all nine innings at shortstop.
Our View: With Jeter DH-ing, Rollins was able to get a full game under his belt, and it clearly paid off for his team. He is hitting an impressive .500 in the WBC. He noted earlier this spring that he played most of last season with back pain, but he is healthy and ready to perform in 2009. Given the derth of talented offensive shortstops, look for Rollins' name to come off the draft boards early.
