According to Michael Silverman, of The Boston Herald, Boston Red Sox SS Jed Lowrie (wrist) will not need any further surgery. “I never thought surgery was a realistic option, but it has been ruled out,” Lowrie said in an e-mail. “Prognosis was good from (surgeon) Dr. (Donald) Sheridan. With time off and a rehab/strength program I’m confident I can get my wrist back to 100 percent.”
