Manager Terry Francona noted that Julio Lugo will not be considered for a role in the outfield is he loses to Jed Lowrie for the starting job at shortstop, according to the Boston Globe.Lugo has not displayed much power in Boston, but could be a decent source for stolen bases if he wins the starting gig at shortstop.
