George Sherrill blew a save Wednesday by allowing two earned runs on two hits and three walks in 2/3 of an inning against the Red Sox.

Analysis: Giambi entered the game mired in a 1-for-18 slump, so maybe taking one deep will help put the veteran first baseman back on track. If not, his playing time might soon be in jeopardy, what with his paltry .199 average and all.
