Oakland may start discussing a contract with Jason Giambi next week, according to the SF Chronicle.Giambi seeks a three-year deal, but Oakland will likely offer two years with an option. The sluger would form a solid power tandem with Matt Holliday in the heart of the Athletics' order. The Rays also remain interested in reeling in Giambi.
