Veteran LHP Jamie Moyer suffered another tough loss this evening as the Phillies fell 5-2 against Oakland. Moyer pitched 6 2/3 innings to allow three runs (all earned) on five hits with one walk and nine strikeouts.Moyer has been pitching in the majors since 1986, so losses like this won't phase him, but it does taint what has been an otherwise strong month, going 2-2 with just 12 earned runs allowed over five starts.
