Dave Campbell, of The Associated Press, reports Minnesota Twins SP Francisco Liriano earned the win by pitching five strong innings Wednesday, Aug. 20. He gave up one unearned run in the game and lowered his ERA to 1.14 for the month. However, Liriano threw a season-high 107 pitches with only 64 for strikes. He gave up five hits while walking three and striking out five.
