Texas Rangers outfielder Julio Borbon returned to the Dominican Republic lineup on Sunday night and had two singles in a 2-0 win over Mexico in the Caribe Series at Santo Domingo, D.R.

Dominican manager Ken Oberkfell did not use Borbon, a left-handed hitter, on Saturday against Puerto Rico starter Bobby Livingston, a lefthander.

Borbon was also picked off first base after one of his hits.

Five Dominican pitchers combined on a five-hitter. Lefthander Francisco Liriano (Minnesota) started and worked five innings. Righthander Jairo Ascencio (Atlanta) got his third save of the series. The Dominican team is 4-0 in the six-team, round-robin event
