Edgar Renteria has not been signed by the Giants, although the two sides have been talking, according to the San Jose Mercury News.Not many Type A free agents - such as Renteria - will be signed before December 1 because clubs don't know who will be offered salary arbitration yet, and it could cost them a high draft pick.
