Delmon Young went 3-for-6 with his third homer of the year in Friday's wild contest with the Tigers.
Analysis: Delmon Young hasn't exactly been lighting it up at the Metrodome this year, as he came in to his latest game sporting a meager .208/.238/.260 line in front of his hometown fans, which makes his Friday moon shot something of a welcome surprise. The 23-year-old outfielder hit a solid .284 with nine RBIs last month, but he's made just three starts since June 23 and is normally the odd-man out in Minnesota's crowded outfield.
