The Boston Herald reports that Mike Lowell was scratched from Saturday's game against the Indians due to a sore right thumb.
Our View: It's unknown how Lowell suffered the injury, but it was sever enough to keep him out of the lineup. Kevin Youkilis will slide over to the hot corner and Casey Kotchman enters the game to play first base.
