Buster Posey belted a three-run homer in Monday's win over the Brewers.
Impacts: It was his only hit in six trips to the plate in the 14-inning marathon, though he also drew a walk. Posey has now driven in a run in five straight games and is batting .389 over that stretch to up his average to .294. He's gone deep five times this season.
Posey went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer Monday before departing as part of a double switch in the 12th inning against the Brewers.
Spin: No reason was provided for the absence, so it doesn't appear to be anything related to an injury for Posey. After making the final out in the top of the 12th, there was little reason for manager Bruce Bochy to continue piling up innings on Posey behind the plate Monday.
