He fell two RBIs short in his bid to record 100 for the first
He fell two RBIs short in his bid to record 100 for the first time, but it's been a scintillating season for the second baseman. He was one of just three second baseman to attain 20/20 status -- Phillips had 20 homers and 25 steals -- in what was his third straight 20/20 campaign. He also improved his batting average from last year by 15 points, to .276, and scored 77 runs. It was a great all-around season for the 28-year-old, and he remains a top-flight option for next year.
