The Reds failed to match the stout offensive effort of the Mets, fallling 7-5, though second baseman Brandon Phillips did what he could to reverse their fortunes. Phillips went 2-for-4 at the dish with his 16th homer of the season along with one stolen base (his 20th thus far) to total two RBIs and two runs scored on the day.Phillips is hitting .277 through July with four stolen bases, three home runs, and 15 RBIs thus far. He's doing fantasy owners proud and helping the Reds stay respectable.
