Crosby gets two hits in rare start
News: From The Sports Xchange: Bobby Crosby made his second start since coming off the DL Sept. 2, playing third base on Sunday at Minnesota. Crosby, Oakland's former everyday shortstop, has made 57 starts at four different positions: third, shortstop, first and second, and he also has appeared on one game in right and one at DH. Crosby is the first A's player to appear in at least five games at all four infield positions since Ernie Riles in 1991. Until this season, Crosby never had played a position other than shortstop in his professional career. He had two hits Sunday. [...]
