Molina may not be in San Fran in 2010
According to the San Jose Mercury News, the chances of Bengie Molina returning to the Giants are not looking promising.
Our View: The Giants are open to bringing Molina back for one year, but don't want to pay him more than the $6 million he made last season. Molina on the other hand wants a two-year deal with a significant bump in pay, so he'll likely look elsewhere. The Giants will likely offer him arbitration as he's a Type A free agent, but won't commit to more than a year with top prospect Buster Posey waiting in the wings. Look for them to target another veteran backstop, like, say, Pudge Rodriguez. Stay tuned.
