Joe Smith, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports Tampa Bay Rays OF B.J. Upton was named the American League Player of the Month for the month of June. He batted .324 (34-for-105) with five home runs, 20 runs, 22 RBIs and 10 doubles in 26 games.
