The Nationals have opted to decline Austin Kearns' $10MM option for 2010, according to the Associated Press.
Our View: The club will instead pay the outfielder a $1MM buyout. Kearns is good defensively, but leaves a bit to be desired with his bat, as he only hit .195 in 2009.
