Indians | Cabrera, Perez undergo surgery
The Sports Network reports Cleveland Indians SS Asdrubal Cabrera (elbow) and RP Chris Perez (ankle) both underwent surgery Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Cleveland Clinic Sports Center. Cabrera had loose bodies removed during a 30-minute right elbow arthroscopy. He will remain in Cleveland for the next four to six weeks and will start his normal offseason strength and conditioning routine in December. Perez had surgery on his left ankle to remove a loose bone and a cyst. He is also expected to be able to start his offseason conditioning program on time.
