Yankees | Pettitte has quality outing Wednesday
The Associated Press reports New York Yankees SP Andy Pettitte (11-8) beat the Texas Rangers Wednesday, Aug. 26, giving up two runs and five hits in seven innings to win his third straight decision. It was Pettitte's 189th win as a member of the Yankees, tying him for third on the franchise list. He also had his streak of 49 2/3 consecutive innings without allowing a home run snapped. Pettitte struck out seven batters in the contest.
