Fullback Holton, tight end Sanders no longer on team

CORAL GABLES — Fullback C.J. Holton and tight end Billy Sanders are no longer a part of Miami’s football team, UM confirmed on Friday.

The school said both players remain enrolled in school.

Holton (6-1, 240), who would have been a redshirt senior this fall, was the No. 2 tight end this spring behind Maurice Hagens. He suffered an ankle injury during the second scrimmage and sat out the rest of spring.
