Bob Pockrass, of SceneDaily.com, reports Hendrick Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. said he is not a fan of smaller holes in restrictor plates for the Sprint Cup races at Daytona and Talladega. The new rule will decrease the air flow through the engines and sap them of an estimated 12-15 horsepower, which is expected to make a difference of a few mph.

David Newton, of ESPN.com, reports Hendrick Motorsports driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. is clearly upset with crew chief Lance McGrew and is undecided if he will be back as the crew chief in 2010, saying he was at the "end of my rope." "Yeah, I feel like don't have any control, you know," Earnhardt said. "Rick's (Hendrick) put me in a great position, but I haven't made the most of it or for whatever reason we're just not getting it done. I don't know what to do." Earnhardt is not in favor of switching crew chiefs with just six races left in the Cup season. He also said former crew chief Tony Eury Sr. will not want to make a move back to the Sprint Cup Series.
